Our Top 3 Takeaways from WorldConnex2019

First of all, we can’t believe the communication and insightful knowledge sharing that went down at WorldConnex last week. Without you, WorldConnex2019 wouldn’t have been our biggest conference to date. Thank you all for coming!

As we take some time to reflect on our recent 3 days in the city of Nashville, we have compiled several learning moments and condensed them into our top 3 lessons learned:

Knowing when to listen. We love to be a part of collaboration and innovation at the forefront! As known industry leaders, this is where we usually exist. However, WorldConnex gave us a chance to step back and listen to the influential individuals that have made an impact on local and global communities. It was inspiring to hear about how the incredible individuals of Avera Health banded together to recover from the recent tornados in Sioux Falls (Candice Friestad), and how Adam Steltzner – American NASA engineer – spent almost a decade of his life making history and safely delivering the one ton Curiosity rover to the surface of Mars.

The way we work is changing fast. And there is no “guidebook” that dictates how processes should be implemented or managed. Our experience at WorldConnex2019 confirmed that our customers are taking advantage of a variety of purpose-built, integrated communications solutions and are applying these technologies in different areas, departments and units across hospitals and healthcare eco-systems – with Connexall at the center. This puts even greater emphasis on the importance of collaboration and information sharing between facilities. We spoke with Jonathon Tunstead from the Centre of Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto, Ontario, and Aniket Nadkarni from Stanford Children’s Health in California, who both shared their opinions on the unique yet crucial aspect of networking at WorldConnex. Lori McCauley from Arkansas Children’s mentioned that a current implementation at their facility was developed from Lori’s first WorldConnex experience. It is not only about adding new colleagues to your LinkedIn profile – it is extremely helpful when attendees are able to collect ideas and bring them back to their hospital to implement them.

Keep the conversation going. WorldConnex2019 allowed us all to bounce ideas off each other under the neon lights of downtown Nashville. Upon reflection of the week, we realized one very important message: we are all one team, with one common goal – providing high quality, reliable care to patients. This message was resoundingly clear at WorldConnex2019. We are all on the same journey to digital transformation, and there is no better way to continue supporting each other than to keep our conversations open and inclusive.
