2024 marked a significant milestone for Connexall as we celebrated our 25th anniversary. From humble beginnings in 1999, Connexall founded and grew a communications technology platform that today serves more than 1,000 hospitals and healthcare systems throughout the United States and Canada.

We reflect on Connexall’s history, share memories of long-tenured employees, and look forward to 2025 and beyond.

Our journey began with a single idea

When Connexall’s parent company, GlobeStar Systems, ventured into healthcare telecommunications, they saw an opportunity… enable clinicians to move freely while staying connected.

That seed grew into a platform that transformed how hospitals communicate and care for patients.

“Our first integration was groundbreaking,” recalls Jason Wilson, Director of Strategic Projects. “It allowed nurses to acknowledge or escalate alarms directly from their wireless phones. It was a small change with a massive impact, and it laid the foundation for everything Connexall would become.”

Our founder, David Tavares, saw the future before anyone else. “This is our product. This is our future,” he said. And he was right. From one integration, linking nurse call systems to wireless phones, we grew into a multi-faceted platform that connects care across entire hospitals.

Today, Connexall thrives on simple principles: listen to the customer, solve real problems, and improve outcomes.

Memories that built a legacy

25 years of innovation means more than product milestones, it means people.

  • Tammy Bevcar (40 years): “David (Tavares) invited me to the first WorldConnex in the Azores so I could see where he came from. His pride in what we’d built was unforgettable.”
  • Steve Maw (34 years): “Go-lives were all hands-on deck, no complaints, just teamwork. And Friday nights? Xbox, pizza, and laughter.”
  • Boris Liberman (34 years): “The first WorldConnex was a ‘wow’ moment. We rented a private plane, flew over 200 people, and brought 6,000 pounds of equipment to the Azores. It was magic.”
  • And Jason Wilson (36 years) summed it up: “It’s not just our technology, it’s the skill, passion, and energy of the team. When you combine that with deep customer understanding, the results are incredible. That’s what Connexall is all about.”

Showcasing the power of a connected hospital

“Our hope for the future is to continue to enable the impact of a connected healthcare system,” says Sandy Saggar, Connexall CEO. “We want to be a trusted partner that grows and innovates alongside our customers, acting with the agility of a startup to continually push the boundaries of what’s possible.”

The vision is ambitious and clear, and includes:

  • Artificial Intelligence: Smarter, faster care.
  • Home Care and Consumer Devices: Bridging hospitals and homes.
  • Data-Driven Innovation: Transforming information into action.
  • Smart Hospital Buildings:  Connecting the entire ecosystem.
  • And the best is yet to come!

Connexall is poised to continue innovating. Let’s create what’s next.
